Whether you’re looking to satisfy your taste buds or expand your palate, there are dishes for you. You will find old classics and new innovations served up by some of the top chefs from around the world. With an impressive collection of Michelin stars between them, guests will be presented with unforgettable flavours and experiences. Amongst other legends, renowned chef David Thompson will be serving his famous Thai street food in Long Chim and Mory Sacko will use his French techniques to create dishes of his signature African – Japanese fusion.

Keeping with the ethos of the Expo, the culinary experience will be offered by some of the worlds most celebrated chefs as well as feature new, unexpected homegrown concepts. The Future of food: Epochal Banquet is one of the standout featured events that will take you on a multi-sensory journey like no other. This never before seen experience curated by UK based Bompas & Parr in collaboration with Expo2020 is an adventure for the mind, body and taste buds. Their ability to fuse food and technology will amaze you. Inspired by space, their offerings include super-light delicacies formed using the same technology NASA uses to collect comet dust. Paired with this, you can enjoy creations that glow in the dark and change flavours as they explore how humans and artificial intelligence can work together to sustainably feed the growing population and reduce food waste.
Rising Flavours Food Hall
The Rising Flavours Food Hall pays homage to the hosts through its celebration of food throughout the GCC. This 3-storey dining hall highlights the evolution and creativity of the food scene throughout the region. Acclaimed chefs, theatrical cooking shows and gastronomical delights will celebrate the incredible flavours and talent born, developed and supported in this region.
The Expo2020 will run from October 1 – March 31 2021 with the purpose of connecting minds and creating the future. Whilst highlighting and celebrating global heritage and cultures of the past, it will focus on solutions to create a more sustainable future for us all. It is the first World Expo in the Middle East / Africa / South Asia region and has the subthemes of opportunity, mobility and sustainability. Set to be the most inclusive world expo ever, it is a family destination that is poised to be a foodie’s nirvana.
